MWGP was founded in 2019 for the purpose of evaluating, appraising and developing the geothermal potential of the North Perth Basin in the Mid West region of Western Australia.
Directors
Mark Ballesteros: BA (Geology), B. Appl Sci (Energy Studies), MSc (Geology), FAIE.
Mark is a geologist with over 40 years of international and domestic experience in the petroleum and geothermal industries. He has worked on projects in Australia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Thailand, and New Zealand. Mark has been actively involved in the geothermal industry since 2010 and served as Exploration Manager for Green Rock Energy and Business Manager for their Perth Basin geothermal project.
Mark is the President of the Australian Geothermal Association and a member of the international Geothermal Association, Geothermal Rising, Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
Rob Marshall: BSc Hons, M.Eng, GAICD
Rob has a background in oil and gas operations, development engineering, commercial evaluation, and project management. He has worked internationally in the UK, Norway, Pakistan, India, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia. In Australia he has managed both offshore and onshore development projects. Since 2019 he has been involved in various emissions reduction and renewable energy projects within Australia.
Rob has a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry, a master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
